This remarkable ocean journey on the luxury mid-size cruise ship Azamara Quest will take you from ultra-modern Dubai via the ocean spice route stopping in India, Sri Lanka, Burma, Thailand, Malaysia and finally on to Singapore.

The journey allows plenty of time in port to discover varied destinations, such as the National Parks in Sri Lanka, the colonial heritage of Cochin and Penang, the beautiful seascapes of Phuket, Yangon’s majestic Shwedagon Pagoda and the hustle and bustle of Mumbai.

There are a few days at sea on this journey where you can relax and enjoy the luxurious facilities on board but equally there are three days in Yangon included, enough time to head out of the city and discover more of Myanmar should you wish.

The ocean journey ends in Singapore where we have included a couple of nights for you to explore this wonderful city.

Day 1: Depart the UK

Fly from UK to Dubai.

Day 2: Dubai, UAE

On arrival in Dubai you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel, with the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Dubai, UAE

Enjoy your day at leisure before being transferred to the Azamara Quest for embarkation at 6 pm.

Day 4: Khor al Fakkan, UAE

Khor Al Fakkan sits on its namesake bay on the eastern coast of the UAE. It’s an excellent jumping off point for adventures in the nearby Hajar Mountains.

Other popular outdoor sights include Al Wurrayah Falls, Jayi Mountain, and Wadi Wurayah National Park. Back in Khor Al Fakkan proper, the main attraction is the white-sand beach and coral reefs teeming with wildlife.

Mumbai encapsulates modern India - from Bollywood to Slumdog Millionaire. To escape the hustle and bustle, travel to Elephanta Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and tour the maze of cave temples and impressive temple carvings.

Day 9: Cochin, India

The mixture of cultures and influences in Cochin—from giant Chinese fishing nets at Fort Kochi and a 400-year-old synagogue to ancient mosques and Portuguese-style homes—is a reminder of the city’s history as the former center of the Indian spice trade.

Day 10: Colombo, Sri Lanka

Visit Colombo's old quarter to find some world-famous tea and explore eclectic cafés and shops. Alternatively take a trip to a nearby elephant orphanage.
