Jasmine Holidays is an independent UK tour operator based in Petersfield, Hampshire, arranging tailor-made long-haul holidays to 53 countries, across Asia, Africa, the Americas and beyond.
We help you decide where to go, choose the right places to stay and bring the arrangements together. Your specialist remains your main contact from your first enquiry until you return home, supported by colleagues who check your bookings and prepare your travel documents.

It started with a villa in Tobago
The idea for Jasmine came to Philip Hodges while staying at Castara Retreats in Tobago. Every villa was different, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the accommodation offered remarkable value compared with much of the Caribbean. At the time, few UK holiday companies featured it.
Philip was working for a large tour operator. That stay helped convince him to start his own company, bringing the same attention to character, personal service and value to the holidays he arranged.
He founded Jasmine Holidays in 2007. The inspiration came from the Caribbean; the appreciation for distinctive accommodation and good value shaped our first holidays in Asia. Our range then grew as specialists with experience in other parts of the world joined the team.
The choices we would make for our own families
When we recommend a hotel or put together an itinerary, we ask ourselves whether we would choose it for our own holiday — or for someone in our family.
That means weighing up what you get for your money. Sometimes a better location or a special place to stay is worth the extra cost. Sometimes spending more adds very little.
Our specialists compare a broad range of options, drawing on trusted local partners, property visits, ongoing client feedback and careful assessment of hotel reviews. We look beyond attractive photographs to consider how a property will work as part of your particular trip.
Every member of our sales team has at least 10 years’ travel industry experience; three have more than 20. That experience helps us give clear recommendations and explain the reasons behind them.

Tom — Asia
Nearly 30 years in the travel industry
Tom has been with Jasmine for over 15 years. He previously lived in Thailand, establishing and running a local office for a UK tour operator. His extensive travels across Asia and holidays with his own family inform the trips he plans.
Luke — Asia & Africa
20+ years in the travel industry
Luke has been with Jasmine for over 10 years, arranging holidays across Asia and Africa. He previously spent several years living in Thailand, helping establish a local travel company. Thailand is a particular strength, alongside his experience of diving and travelling with young children.
Amy — North America & Japan
10+ years in the travel industry
Amy plans holidays across North America and Japan, drawing on her travels in the USA, Canada and Japan. Her extensive US travels include Alaska, Utah’s national parks and the Deep South. She also brings a particular interest in wildlife and expedition cruising.
Ian — Africa & Asia
20+ years in the travel industry
Ian has spent more than 20 years helping clients plan their holidays, following a five-year journey across six continents. His first-hand experience includes Southeast Asia, Kenya, Botswana, South Africa, Tanzania and Namibia, with wildlife encounters in the Serengeti among his highlights.
Irina — Central & South America
12+ years in the travel industry
A native Spanish speaker based in Barcelona, Irina works closely with our partners across Latin America. Her own travels include Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica and Mexico, informing the routes and places to stay she recommends.
Josh — Asia, Indian Ocean & Middle East
12+ years in the travel industry
Josh’s professional experience spans Asia, the Indian Ocean and the Middle East. He spent 18 months exploring Asia, Australia and New Zealand and has travelled independently in India. He works closely with local partners to put together the details of each holiday.

Planning your itinerary is one part of arranging your holiday. Preparing the travel documents, managing the accounts and keeping the administration in order matter too. Philippa, Vicky and Julie work alongside our specialists to take care of these details.

Philippa looks after your travel documentation, bringing the details of your arrangements together so you have the information you need before you set off.
Vicky — Accounts
Vicky manages Jasmine’s accounts and the financial administration that supports the holidays we arrange.
Julie — Administration
Julie works alongside our specialists on day-to-day booking administration, helping keep the arrangements organised as your holiday takes shape.
Support when you need it
We provide 24/7 emergency support while you are away. You will find the emergency contact numbers in your travel documents.
If a flight is cancelled, a schedule changes or adverse weather affects your plans, we help work through the options and coordinate with airlines and local partners.
