Veraguas is the only province in Panama with coasts on the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean side.
This means more than 60 km of coastal area on the Caribbean Sea and over 350 km of coast on the Pacific Ocean, plus numerous islands.
The Coiba National Park, a paradise for divers located south of Veraguas, is Panamá’s most impressive park and also the most remote and inaccessible one.
With a surface of 270,125 hectares, covering 39 islands, the park protects three kinds of ecosystems: the islands, the reef and marine life.
Enjoy diving and snorkelling in Granito de Oro or Bahía Damas, two famous spots for marine life in the Coiba National Park.
