Dodecanese

Rhodes, situated in the south-eastern Aegean Sea, is the capital of the Dodecanese islands and there are many reasons why Rhodes is one of the most popular resorts in the Mediterranean: the natural surroundings (crystal clear seas, beautiful parks and leisure facilities), over 300 days of sunshine and the warm hospitality of the islanders themselves.

Rhodes has been famous since antiquity as the site of Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

The birthplace of Hippocrates - Kos offers a variety of activities, such as diving, cycling, sightseeing in mountain villages, tours in wineries, explorations in archaeological sites and very interesting gastronomic experiences.

The island is pretty touristy and at the same time traditional, cosmopolitan, filled with countless antiquities and sandy beaches.

With a coastline of more than 100km, it is very difficult not to find a beach in Kos that you like!

Rhodes

Set in the southeastern Aegean sea, the island of Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese Islands, which are known for their Byzantine churches, medieval castles and ancient archaeological sites.

Offering gorgeous beaches, picturesque villages and several excellent seaside resorts, Rhodes has become a popular tourist destination, providing its guests with the perfect blend of traditional and cosmopolitan.

Visitors can look forward to several wonderful attractions including the Acropolis, crowning Lindos Village and boasting stunning panoramic views of the coastline; and the well-preserved Old Town wound through by the medieval cobblestoned Street of the Knights.

Don’t miss a trip to the Palace of the Grand Master, an impressive Byzantine fortress and palace, which includes an amazing exhibit on ancient Rhodes.

Kos Island

Set against a looming backdrop of the mighty Dikeos Mountains, the balmy island of Kos fully warrants its reputation as one of the favourite destinations in the Grecian Dodecanese.

The island astonishes with tall palm trees, endless sandy beaches, towering crags and lush landscapes.

While travellers are often lured by the gorgeous beaches, lively Kos Town is filled with whitewashed buildings that house cafés, bars and restaurants that overlook the picturesque Mandraki port.

History lovers are enthused by the millennia-old archaeological sites abundant in the area, boasting a stimulating cultural kaleidoscope of Roman ruins, Greek monuments and Ottoman relics.

Top choices include the iconic Hippocrates’ Asclepeion, Nerantzia Castle of the Knights of Saint John, late 14th-century walls erected to keep out Sultan Bayezit I, and the Tree of Hippocrates.

Kos Town

Set on the northeastern coast of the Greek island of Kos which dots the Aegen Sea, Kos Town serves as the capital and the main port of the island.

It provides an excellent base from which to explore over 100 kilometres of pristine coastline peppered with a spectacular array of beaches, unique cultural sights and spectacular landscapes.

Visitors can look forward to an array of activities including viewing the ruins of the Ancient Gymnasium, admiring the view of the harbour from the 14th-century Neratzia Castle and visiting the Tree of Hippocrates.

Don't miss the opportunity to view the collection of well-preserved buildings lining charming streets, visit the many cafes, restaurants and tavernas; and stroll along the palm tree-lined waterfront.

Patmos

The Greek island of Patmos lies in the eastern reaches of the Aegean Sea.

Known as the ‘Holy Island’ – and officially inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List since 1999 – Patmos is an absolute must for history-lovers and culture enthusiasts.

This is the island where St. John is said to have written the Book of Revelation, and it is possible to visit the so-called Cave of the Apocalypse, which is found between Skala (a vibrant port town with great markets to explore) and the hilltop settlement of Chora.

Other key activities include relaxing on the inviting sands of Petra Beach, Psili Ammos and Vaghia Beach, as well as boat trips to the nearby islet of Marathi, where the renowned Pantelis Restaurant serves excellent seafood.
