Jeju Island is a rugged and beautiful island off the south coast of South Korea, famous as a honeymoon destination for South Koreans but also offering plenty of interest to visitors from the UK.
Jeju Island is a great destination for those looking to enjoy some walking in South Korea. There is a wonderful coastal footpath, some very attractive day walks and South Korea's highest peak, volcanic Mount Hallasan which makes for a wonderful day hike.
Jeju Island's climate is very mild also and there are some very attractive beaches too, although the seasons are quite restricted.
A trip to Jeju Island can easily be combined with an onward flight to Shanghai or Japan, making a combined South Korea and Eastern China or Japan trip a very practical option.
