Khanom is a small country town on the Gulf of Thailand with a local population of 11,000 people from all walks of life, with the main sources of livelihood being farming and fishing.
The agricultural landscape is carpeted with coconut, rubber, palm oil, pineapple and banana plantations with grazing cows roaming freely. One can really enjoy laid-back lifestyle of the friendly villagers.
Khanom has several hidden surprises with unspoilt beaches, waterfalls and interesting caves. To the north of Khanom is the beautiful natural park of Khao Luang.
The waterfront of Khanom offers a breeding ground for rare pink dolphins and trips to spot dolphins are very popular. Currently we only recommend one resort in Khanom, the boutique Aava Resort.
