Kansai - Nara

Nara is easily visited as a day trip from Kyoto or as a one or two night stay. Nara is most well-known for the magnificent Todai-ji Temple in Nara Park.

Todai-ji is one of the world's largest wooden structures and is set amongst a deer park which is also home to several other temples and the Kasuga Taishi Shrine, known for its distinctive vermillion-lacquered shrine architecture.
