After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel for a morning exploration of Bangkok by bicycle.

Enjoy a fascinating glimpse into the Bangkok of old taking in popular sites such as Chinatown and Wat Arun, whilst also venturing off the beaten path a little bit to some lesser-known sites that are not on the tourist map.

The afternoon is at leisure for you to relax or perhaps visit the Grand Palace or one of Bangkok’s other main sights.

Day 4: Bangkok – Flight of the Gibbon

After breakfast depart for a full day excursion to the highly acclaimed Flight of the Gibbon zip-line attraction.

At over 
3 kilometres long, this is the longest zip-line tour in the world with
 a total of 24 platforms.

High in the tree-tops of a pristine national park at Khao Kheo near Chonburi, an hours drive from Bangkok, experience gliding through the jungle canopy along thrilling wire zip-lines, scenic sky bridges and adrenaline-inducing abseils.

Day 5: Khao Yai National Park

Depart around 7:30 for the 2-hour drive to Khao Yai National Park, some 200 km northeast of Bangkok.

Arrive and check-in at Kirimaya, a boutique luxury resort, nestled at the edge of the park.

After lunch, the afternoon is at leisure to relax. Dinner is served at the hotel, following which embark on a one-hour night spotlighting tour.

Join an open-top pick-up truck fitted with a powerful spotlight for picking out nocturnal creatures such as Deer, Civets, Owls, Porcupines and Snakes.

Binturongs, Small Cats, Elephants and Slow Loris are occasionally also spotted.

Day 6: Khao Yai National Park

After breakfast set out on a full day nature trek with a park ranger.

There are more than 20 trails to choose from, each different in natural beauty and distance. Lunch is taken en-route. After the walk, return to Kirimaya.

Day 7: Khao Yai National Park – Vineyards – Chiang Mai

After breakfast, check out and drive through countryside, which could almost pass for France, were it not for the banana trees and occasional coconut palm, to the vineyard at Grand Monte.

Continue driving through the valley, enjoying excellent views to the second Vineyard, PB Khao Yai Winery and enjoy Thai lunch at the Hornbill Restaurant.

After lunch transfer to the airport for the short flight north to Chiang Mai. On arrival, transfer to your hotel by private car.

Day 8: Chiang Mai

After breakfast you will be collected from your hotel for a morning cycling tour, through charming rural areas surrounding Chiang Mai.

Visit a local school and temples, and experience
 the countryside and traditional Thai way of life in and around Chiang Mai.

The afternoon is at leisure to relax or further explore Chiang Mai. A visit up to the hilltop temple at Doi Suthep is highly recommended.

Day 9: Chiang Mai – Lisu Lodge

After breakfast depart for the 90-minute journey to the Lisu Lodge, a comfortable lodge run by Lisu villagers, offering a great insight into the way of life and culture of the Lisu.

On arrival, tour the village with a villager, visit a temple and stop for tea at the house of the shaman who will explain local beliefs and customs.

In the afternoon, visit the village museum and then choose from a guided bike tour around the Lisu Lodge area, steam bath or massage, or an Ox-cart ride through farmlands and orchards to the Thai Village of Baan Pang Mai Daeng.

A further one-hour activity can be arranged at a nominal cost.

Dinner is served at the lodge in the evening to the accompaniment of traditional Lisu dancing.

Day 10: Lisu Lodge - Phuket

After breakfast, depart by private car back to Chiang Mai for your flight to the south of Thailand.

On arrival in Phuket, you will be met and transferred by private car to your chosen hotel.

Days 11: Phuket

After breakfast, around 7:30 you will be collected from your hotel for a full day tour to Phang Nga Bay with sea kayaking amongst the spectacular Hongs of Phang Nga Bay.

The Hongs are spectacular limestone caverns, which offer superb sea-kayaking territory.

A variety of wildlife can be seen here also, including sea eagles, Brahmany kites, kingfishers, water-monitors and monkeys.

Be back at your hotel around 5 pm after a very rewarding day on the water.

Day 12: Khao Sok National Park

After breakfast travel 2.5 hours to Elephant Hills in the beautiful Khao Sok National Park.

On arrival, enjoy an Elephant Experience, which includes feeding and washing the elephants.

After lunch take a sedate jungle river canoe trip down the Sok River.

Drift along the jungle river passing Limestone cliffs covered with exotic tropical vegetation.

Sometimes hornbills can be seen flying high overhead or reptiles basking in the sun on the riverbanks in a primary rainforest little changed in thousands of years.

Day 13: Khao Sok National Park

Today explore Cheow Larn Lake, a little known wonder of Thailand’s southern rainforest which holds prime habitat for wild Elephant, the rare Asian Ox, Hornbill, various monkey species, hundreds of tropical birds, amphibians, reptiles and Tiger, making it one of the most unique and important areas of rainforest in South East Asia.

Board Elephant Hill’s boat to explore the lake, swim in the emerald waters or head out by Canoe.

Take a guided self-paddle adventure into the surrounding rainforest channels, scouring the towering trees for monkeys and hornbill.

Tonight stay at Elephant Hills’ unique floating camp over the lake.

In the evening dinner is served to an array of jungle sounds, a unique once in a lifetime experience.

There is the option to head out on small boats to search for wildlife with a guide in the evening.

Take a torch and the right attitude and you may see some of the nocturnal inhabitants of the forest.

Reading lights are available in the tents and the floating jungle bar is open for a late night drink or two.

Day 14: Khao Sok National Park

Enjoy a relaxing breakfast and a swim in the lake.

After breakfast enjoy a rainforest trek which is an opportunity to explore the ecology of the rainforest, to see a great variety of exotic plants, tropical hardwood trees with huge roots, orchids, palms, ferns, bamboos, mosses.

Hornbills are often seen and gibbons can be heard calling to their mates, a macaque or leaf monkey may be heard swinging through the branches.

Return to the raft house one last time to enjoy lunch and one final swim or canoe before transferring to your hotel in Krabi.

Built in traditional Lisu style with an eye for western comforts, the Lisu Lodge overlooks the lush fields and hills surrounding the valley and serves as a base camp for a magical blend of adventure, relaxation and insight.

Accommodation at the Lisu Lodge consists of comfortable king-size or twin bedded rooms with en-suite bathrooms (where applicable), and electric fans (non air-conditioned).

Is this a Private Tour or a Group Tour?

All of our tours are private tailor made itineraries, customised for you - we can amend things to entirely suit you.

You will have your own private car, driver and guide on excursions.

On this particular trip the excursions in Khao Yai and Khao Sok are on a shared basis.

We work with all the major airlines flying to Thailand.

However, just let us know your preferred airline if you have one. We can organise flights from any regional destination in the UK.

We're careful with our choice of hotels, but we're guided by our customers also. If you have some preferred hotels, just let us know.

We specialise in boutique hotels and so we will often suggest some of our favourite smaller hotels where we think these will be suitable.
