Tanzania Island Hopping

This itinerary offers the chance to experience three very different islands off the Swahili coast of Tanzania. It's an ideal trip if you want to add a bit of off the beaten track discovery and is great for snorkellers and divers.

Your trip will begin with 4 nights on Mafia Island. Mafia Island is 50 km by 15 km and consists of fishing and farming villages and a handful of rustic boutique resorts. The Mafia Archipelago has always been a crossroads for trade and is a great place to swim with whale sharks in season.

From Mafia you'll fly south to the airstrip on Songo Songo Island and transfer to Fanjove Private Island for 3 nights on this isolated and little-visited Robinson Crusoe like island.

Your trip will culminate on Zanzibar, the most developed and well-known of the islands in Tanzania and somewhere which retains a high degree of autonomy.

You'll have an excursion to the atmospheric old town of Stone Town included.
