About Sunset Beach Resort, Taling Ngam

Sunset Beach Resort & Spa Taling Ngam (formerly Ban Sabai Resort) is a cosy, beachfront boutique hotel in a peaceful location on the undeveloped sunset west coast of Koh Samui.

Sunset Beach Resort’s villas are full of character and rooms in the building overlook a generously sized pool and tranquil gardens.

There are only 20 rooms and villas at Sunset Beach Resort, making this one of the most intimate boutique resorts on Koh Samui.

The location is peaceful and undeveloped on a quiet stretch of beach.

We love the Sunset Beach Resort's Villas, and staying here is a totally different experience from a Koh Samui holiday in busier Chaweng Beach on the opposite side of Koh Samui. Beachfront Villas are just steps from the sand.

What’s so Special?

Sunset Beach Resort is something of an undiscovered gem, sitting out on the sunset coast of Samui. The resort is chilled-out and unpretentious with surprisingly spacious and characterful rooms.

Bear in Mind

There are not really many other dining options nearby, although Sunset Beach Resort's restaurant does have a large, varied and reasonably priced menu.

Chaweng is about 40 minutes away, making Sunset Beach Resort unsuitable for those looking for nightlife and access to bars. Lamai Beach and Bo Phut are much closer for evenings out.

L'Ananas Restaurant & Bar

The restaurant overlooks the resort and offers a wide ranging and varied menu.

In addition to Thai and International cuisine, L'Ananas offers eight different mineral waters, countless teas, juices freshly squeezed from Ko Samui's abundant fruits, various smoothies and over 50 different wines.

Sunset Beach Resort is quite isolated and there aren't many options nearby apart from the Intercontinental Hotel and a couple of very local options.

The swimming pool is attractive and there are massage salas close by.

Kayaks and Mountain Bikes are free for guests use.
