One of a kind and undoubtedly one of the best beach hotels in Kerala, Neeleshwar Hermitage is set in a palm grove, just back from an unspoiled and safe swimming beach.
The traditional, thatched cottages house 16 rooms and are large, airy and wonderfully inviting, comfortable and spacious. Each has its own veranda and most look straight out to sea.
They have been beautifully designed and decorated with polished wood pillars, gleaming teak floors and stone, partially open-air bathrooms with state of the art fixtures and fittings.
Deep mattresses and fine linen ensure a good night’s sleep after spending time in the spa and Ayurvedic centre.
Along with yoga, backwater cruises, long walks down the pristine beach, visits to local temples, forts and villages, a stay here also allows you to gain an insight into local culture by way of fascinating evening lectures and cookery classes.
Needless to say, the fresh seafood and mouth-watering local and international cuisine will have you longing for the next meal.

Neelshwar has an immensely calm and peaceful atmosphere and has been constructed according to the architectural principles of Kerala Vastu.
After travelling around the hills and jungles of North or South Kerala, at last there is now a superb beach hotel where one can be pampered, explore locally and enjoy beach life at its best!
Accommodation comprises 16 traditional Kerala style thatched cottages, 10 sea view rooms and 6 garden view rooms.
All rooms are convertible into single, twin or double and are large, airy and wonderfully inviting, comfortable and spacious – each having its own, very private courtyard garden, balcony and bathroom.
Rooms are modern and slick with high quality furnishings and attractive colour schemes. All of the rooms have beautiful teak floors with rugs. Beds have very comfortable mattresses and luxurious bedlinen.
Bathrooms are partially open-air. They boast large Rainforest showers and state of the art fixtures and fittings.
All the cottages have a spacious and private veranda outside each one.

The Hermitage
There is a main dining room in the centre of the resort called The Hermitage.
Here local cooking skills join with Ayurvedic teaching on the importance of the appearance, balance, flavour, enjoyment and effects of a dish. Buffet and a la carte is available.
Continental, classic Indian and local cuisine is served, which is predominantly vegetarian. There is also a delightful seafood and fish restaurant, by the pool and overlooking the beach.
Priya Spa
Priya Spa is a beautiful building which is built (as with the whole of the resort), according to the laws of Vastu so it offers a wonderfully peaceful, calming and sublime atmosphere.
The spa offers Ayurvedic treatments in collaboration with the Sahayadri Foundation who are the most reputed 100% organic and herbal medicine manufacturers in India.
As well as a wide variety of traditional massage and purification regimes, the spa offers aromatherapy, Dr Hauschka organic facial and beauty treatments from one of the UK’s top practitioners, as well as rejuvenation therapy and lifestyle and dietary coaching.
