Malabar House
Deluxe Room
Malabar House is a boutique and stylish historic house in Fort Cochin, with an emphasis on personal and discreet service, gourmet cuisine, and local art and design.
The house is located right opposite St. Francis Church in the heart of atmospheric and historic Fort Cochin – just a short stroll from the famous Chinese fishing nets.
The house dates back to the Dutch period in 1755 and became Cochin’s first boutique heritage hotel in 1996.
Malabar House offers just 17 rooms and suites. There are 11 Deluxe Rooms on the ground floor, 5 roof-garden suites on the first floor and one duplex Malabar Suite.

Room numbers 9, 10, 11 & 12 overlook the pretty parade ground.
Room numbers 9, 10, 11, 12, 17 & 18 have a private terrace.
Room numbers 1, 6, 7, 8, 14 & 15 have their own garden with private sit out.
Roof Garden Suites
The 5 roof-garden Suites 5 Roof Garden Suites are large rooms on the first floor with private terraces.
Malabar Suite
The Malabar Suite is a very peaceful maisonette, situated towards the rear of the building, on the first floor. It comprises a sitting room downstairs and a bedroom, bathroom and private terrace upstairs.
