In a country experiencing a huge boom in tourism since 2012, there is a severe shortage of hotels in Myanmar. Boutique hotels in Myanmar are found in the main destinations but need to be booked well in advance during high season.

Boutique hotels in Yangon include The Strand, the Governor's Residence and the Savoy. There are 3 or 4 nice boutique hotels in Bagan including Thiri Marlar.

In Mandalay we recommend the Hotel by the Red Canal and Rupar Mandalar. Inle Lake boutique hotels include the Inle Princess and the Inle Lake View.

Ngapali Bay Villas is a very good option for a boutique beach resort in Myanmar.
