Situated in the south of the main island Mahe, Chalet D’Anse Forbans offers modern and comfortable self catering accommodation in the Seychelles, by the talcum powder sand and turquoise waters of the beach of Anse Forbans.
Chalets D’Anse Forbans is a family run Seychelles self-catering hotel offering just 14 charming chalets set amongst tropical gardens lush with swaying coconut palms.
Simple one and two bedroom chalets are offered, ideal for couples or for a family self-catering holiday to the Seychelles. Chalet D’Anse Forbans is fantastic value for money as well.
Chalets are serviced daily and feature kitchenettes, private verandas and sun-loungers. Laundry is available and chalets feature dryers.
The proximity of restaurants and shops is a real bonus of a stay at these charming Seychelles self-catering chalets.
What’s so Special?
The hosts, Brigitte and Daphne are great and most guests comment on the helpfulness and warmth of welcome. Many guests hire a car and Chalet D’Anse Forbans offers rental cars for hire.
The name means Pirate Cove for anyone with an inclination to go digging for treasure. We think this Chalet Forbans is a real treasure in itself. The proximity – about 5 minutes drive - to the gorgeous beach Anse Intendence is also a real bonus.
Hawksbill turtles sometimes come on to the beach by the resort to nest.
Bear in Mind
Chalets are simply furnished but very fresh and clean. There are no TV’s.
Chalet d'Anse Forbans is normally closed in June.
Chalets
Each of the 12 Standard Bungalow chalets (52 sq. m.) is spaciously designed and fully equipped, accommodating a maximum of three guests.
All chalets are sea facing and just steps from the beach and high water mark. Sun loungers are included on the private veranda and there is an outdoor dining table and chairs.
Chalets feature a fully equipped kitchenette, dining area, lounge and an air-conditioned bedroom with overhead fan and en-suite bathroom.
White-walled bedrooms are fresh and simple with cool tiled floors.
The lounge has a sofa and 4 chairs and is fan-cooled. Baby cots, baby high chairs and baby baths are available on request.
Chalets are serviced daily and a laundry service is available.

Dining
Chalets D’Anse Forbans is self-catering and all chalets coming with fully equipped kitchens.
The nearest restaurants are a couple of kilometres away so car rental offers a bit of flexibility for dining out.

Which Airlines do you use?
We work with all the major airlines flying to the Seychelles.
Typically for the Seychelles we will use British Airways for direct flights.
There are currently twice-weekly flights from Heathrow (Wednesdays and Saturdays) direct to Mahe using the Dreamliner.
The flying time for direct flights is around 10 hours, making the Seychelles a little shorter flying time than going to South East Asia.
We also commonly use Emirates via Dubai, Qatar Airways via Doha and Etihad via Abu Dhabi. These all allow stopover options in the Arabian Gulf to create a multi-centre holiday.
Regional connections from across the UK are available.
Which Hotels do you use?
We're careful with our choice of resorts in the Seychelles, but we're guided by our customers also. If you have some preferred hotels, just let us know.
We specialise in boutique hotels and so we will often suggest some of our favourite smaller hotels where we think these will be suitable.
There are some great self-catering options in the Seychelles including Chalets d'Anse Forbans.
Do I need a visa for the Seychelles?
If you're travelling on British Passports, no visa is required for stays of up to a month.
Please double check before travel however as visa requirements are subject to change at any time.

The driest time of year to visit the Seychelles is normally between June and September.
April to May and October to November can be the best value times of year to visit the Seychelles as these are shoulder-season periods.
