Visitor numbers to Borneo tend to drop in October, which can mean this is a good time of year to visit, with more availability at wildlife lodges and in the dive resorts.
Long sunny and dry days can be expected across much of Sabah, although rainfall does peak along the northern coast of Sabah meaning frequent short sharp afternoon showers.
Along the coastal areas of Sarawak, rainfall increases as October progresses, although much of central Sarawak remains relatively dry. This is not a bad time to visit Sarawak.
