One of the best twin centre Sri Lanka holiday combinations is to combine some time in one of the National Parks with a beach stay. This works most easily with Yala National Park and the South Coast.

If heritage is more your thing you could combine a few nights in the Cultural Triangle area of Sri Lanka, exploring Sri Lanka's ancient capitals before heading to the East or West Coasts. Sigiriya is a great base for exploring.

An alternative is to spend a few nights in Galle Fort which is an atmospheric old town with restaurants, shops and cafes and some excellent boutique hotels.

Kandy is the cultural capital of Sri Lanka and a great place to be based for a few nights. From here you can explore deeper into the Hill Country, discover tea plantations, visit the Temple of the Tooth, see the Kandy Dancers and visit the Botanical Gardens.

Typically for Sri Lanka, Sri Lankan Airlines, British Airways and Emirates are the airlines we most often use.

However, just let us know your preferred airline if you have one. We can organise flights from any regional destination in the UK.

Sri Lankan Airlines and British Airways fly directly to Sri Lanka and Sri Lankan Airlines and Emirates are both great options for combining Sri Lanka with the Maldives.
