Whether you are keen to enjoy some baseball, bowling and beer or some rich local culture and history, this vibrant city has something to offer just about every type of visitor.

The main attraction is undoubtedly the iconic silver Gateway Arch. This impressive feat of engineering was built in honour of explorers Lewis and Clarke and stands over 190 metres high.

Missouri

Situated in midwestern America, with the Mississippi River forming its eastern border, Missouri is an extensive state, which is widely considered to be a tourist highlight of the Great Plains regions.

Popular urban areas include Kansas City and St Louis, both of which feature vibrant neighbourhoods, lively live jazz music venues, and some excellent local museums.

The Gateway Arch & Jefferson National Expansion Memorial is a must-see in St Louis, and the American Jazz Museum in Kansas City provides a fascinating insight into the city's jazz history.
