The River Club is a historic and romantic luxury boutique hotel just 18 km upstream from Victoria Falls, set up high on the banks of the Zambian side of the Zambezi.

The River Club has a distinctly Edwardian feel and the 11 spacious chalets all have large four-poster beds, claw-foot baths and one side with floor to ceiling sliding doors with views right on to the Zambezi.

The River Club’s main area is a restored original homestead, now a well-appointed residence, with a comfortable lounge, large dining room, impressive library and wide veranda on which breakfast and teas are taken.

The nearby Summer House features a large flat-screen TV and billiard table.

Outside amongst the gardens is a horizon style pool with a stunning view over the Zambezi. Midday meals are often served in the gardens beneath the trees.

Although the River Club is not a traditional safari camp, elephants can often be seen opposite in the Zambezi National Park and pods of hippos along the river in front of the hotel.
