Lemala Manyara is a 9-tent camp located deep inside the Manyara National Park and far from the crowds.
This traditional safari camp enjoys an incredibly beautiful lake-facing location at the edge of acacia woodland.
Game drives are excellent here in the less visited area of the park, and the camp also offers early morning or late afternoon lakeshore walks with a resident guide and an armed ranger, a great way to stretch legs and learn more about the wildlife of the park.
The camp consists of 9 comfortable en-suite tents including a family tent suitable for 2 adults and 2 children.
Each tent is spacious and has large single or King-size beds with warm duvets.
As all tents face the lake, guests are often treated to beautiful sunrises.
The mess tent is elegantly furnished with grand sofas, lamps, old wooden cabinets, chests and rugs.
Campfires, communal dinners and bush meals mean guests enjoy the outdoor life as much as possible.
What’s so Special?
Guests love the isolation, the scenery and the constant parade of wildlife passing by – lions, giraffes, elephants, zebras and wildebeest.
The camp has a perfect location for viewing the park’s spectacular birdlife, including flamingo.
Game viewing starts right at the camp and like other Lemala camps, there is no queuing or time wasting at the park gates.
You may start your game drive at 6.15am and end at 6.30pm with a cocktail on the lakeshore at sunset and an option to partake in a night game drive after that.
Bear in Mind
A 2-night stay is a good length of time to enjoy at Lemala Manyara.
Children 6 years and over are accepted at Lemala Manyara, although the camp isn’t suitable for children under 6.
The camp is open all year round.
