Inle Princess Resort
Inle Princess Resort offers a high standard of accommodation by Inle Lake.
Situated by a village on the banks of Inle Lake, Inle Princess Resort offers fantastic lake, mountain and rice paddy views.
With just 45 teak built houses, the design of Inle Princess Resort was drawn from the traditions and culture of the Shan and Intha people.
Each House at Inle Princess has a large front-facing glass window which lets in great natural light and provides a fantastic views of the surrounding scenery.
The Lake Houses are a very popular option especially amongst bird watchers and those looking for better views.
The restaurant gets strong feedback and offers both local and Western dishes.
The resort has a small swimming pool and a basic spa.
What's so Special?
Inle Princess has very nice accommodation and a real sense of location and peacefulness amongst the lily filled inlets and creeks by the lake.
The food is excellent here and many guests mention how good the outdoor showers are in some of the houses.
The resort has instituted some green initiatives such as no plastic water bottles.
Bear in Mind
Arrival is usually by boat from Nyaung Shwe, the ideal way to arrive at the resort. Remember to dress appropriately - it can be cool at certaintimes of year.
Houses
Inle Princess has 45 Houses
27 houses are Lake Front View, 9 offer Private Lake & Garden Views (53- 63 sq. m) and 10 have Mountain Views (50 sq. m).
Mountain Houses
Wooden floors, large windows with mountain views and private decks are hallmarks of the Mountain Houses (52 sq. m) which feature Inthar decorations and spacious bathrooms with separate bathtub but no outdoor shower.
Garden Houses
The Garden Houses (53 - 63 sq. m) at Inle Princess are set amongst the lily ponds and mature tropical gardens creating a tranquil setting.
Each features a wooden deck and complimentary binoculars to use.
Lake Houses
The Lake Houses are located over the lily filled inlet - an ideal spot to look out for rare birds.
The Lake Houses are the same design as the Garden Houses, differing only in location.
Rooms feature clay ovens which act as heaters in the cooler months.
Princess Houses
The two largest houses at Inle Princess (71 sq. m) are right on the shore, with large plant-filled private verandahs and bespoke interiors.
Features in all chalets:
Each House at Inle Princess has a large front-facing glass window which lets in great natural light and provides a fantastic views of the surrounding scenery.
The House facilities include a writing desk, coffee table and chairs, divan and a day bed.
Bathrooms feature bath tubs with hot and cold water and some of the lake view chalets also have a stream stone decorated outdoor shower.
All Houses are surrounded by rice paddies and small ponds which are home to many varieties of fresh water fish & wild birds
