Heritage Suites Siem Reap is a real gem of a boutique hotel close to the centre of Siem Reap, offering gorgeous, very spacious Zen-like rooms, plenty of character and a memorable base for exploring the temples of Angkor.
Heritage Suites Hotel has just 26 suites, bungalows and rooms in tranquil tropical surroundings, just a stones’ throw from the Siem Reap River and the centre of town.
Heritage Suites is set behind an old whitewashed colonial house, which serves as the lobby, reception, restaurant and bar and is full of colour and character, whilst retaining a simple and authentic ambience.
The Suites are very spacious and full of character. Bungalows feature beautiful oversized bathtubs and the Royal Suites offer outdoor garden showers.
Heritage Suites has a pleasant little salt-water pool area and well tended gardens. The pool is a great spot for an hour or two relaxation, pre or post touring. A fire-pit is usually lit at night by the pool, which reflects on the water, creating a really great atmosphere, complimented by a chill-out soundtrack in the evenings.
If you haven’t pre-booked any trips and wish to do so, Heritage Suites runs its own tours and booking is very convenient.
What’s so Special?
The Suites are amongst the best in Siem Reap – spacious and characterful – colonial in inspiration enlivened with a splash of colour and design.
The Classic car transfers add a touch of romance and glamour to a stay at Heritage Suites. We certainly recommend considering arriving or touring in style in a classic car.
The entrance to the hotel is quite a highlight too, with the high-ceilinged, chic and stylish restaurant just beyond reception – a very inviting long bar and atmospheric location for romantic dining ‘a deux’.
Bear in mind
The Classic Rooms are often held back for online bookings. They are much smaller than the Suites so bear this in mind if opting for the lead-in room category.
Heritage Suites is really quite a romantic and peaceful retreat, so couples with young children may not feel that Heritage Suites is right for them.
The location is in a residential area close to Wat Polanka can be a little bit difficult to find (it took us a while first time around). Walking into town is a bit too much of a hike for most and the chances of getting lost are high. Taxis and tuk tuks are very cheap.
Rooms and Suites don’t have TV’s.
Classic Rooms
6 Classic Rooms are located on the first floor of the colonial style building on the way to the pool. These smart and stylish rooms are much smaller than the Suites but will suit those on a tighter budget.
High ceilings, bamboo floors, teak bed-heads and king-size beds are the defining features.

The Colonial House
The Colonial House is the scene for breakfast, traditional Khmer cuisine, Asian and Western dining. Dining on the terrace adds an extra touch of romance.
The Restaurant
The restaurant overlooks the bar on the ground floor. We love the long bar at the Heritage Suites which is a very stylish colonial-style venue, and the bar-staff really know how to mix a good cocktail.
