This quite amazing hotel combines a 200 year old Moorish heritage mansion with trendy contemporary chic and the result is an undoubted success.
Sri Lankan accents in coir, rattan, local wood and mosaic have been added to create a real sense of locality – reflecting the outlook of the passionate owner.
With just 12 Suites, Casa Colombo is a true Sri Lankan boutique hotel and a totally original experience in a city otherwise known for rather staid accommodation.
The surroundings are also surprisingly serene for a city as busy as Colombo. The hotel is worth staying in for the talking points alone!

Travellers Suites
Each Suite is unique but share some common features. Walls are a simple polished concrete complemented with red mood-lighting and fabulous copper bath-tubs.
The amazing attention to detail is the result of the fastidious owner, who designed not only the room layout but also the pillows, linen, shampoo and toiletries and even took the huge photos which grace the walls.
Suites feature a separate living area and bedroom and the 15-foot high moulded ceilings create a real sense of space.
Mosaic and sea-grass floors are additional features which create such a memorable accommodation.
Spacious bathrooms feature Rainforest showers.
Corporate Suites
Corporate Suites additionally feature in-room laptops, oversized King-Size beds and double-sized copper-clad baths.

There is one Royal Suite which features a Jacuzzi and private terrace.

Zaza is an open-air tapas restaurant surrounded by water overlooking the magnificent façade of the mansion.
Egg shaped chairs and cracked glass tables create a unique environment, complimented by creative fusion cuisine.
Ice Cubed Lounge Bar
The chilled out lounge bar is designed to look like a gigantic ice cube! Expect to find blue and red neon lighting, a cement and glass bar and chilled out grooves. Is this really Sri Lanka?
T Republic
T Republic is a tea lounge facing the front façade of the mansion and claims to be the only true café for tea enthusiasts in Colombo. Light dishes, salads and snacks are also served.
Champagne and Sky
Private rooftop dining is also offered on request.

The pool area is a great place for relaxation and the Pink Pool and glass sunloungers are certainly memorable.
The design of the library is fantastic and the free Wi-Fi very welcome.
