April marks a transitional month in the Maldives as the dominant weather pattern shifts from the dry North East monsoon to the South West monsoon which brings wetter conditions.

Temperatures remain in the high twenties to early thirties in April but an afternoon shower or two can certainly be expected at this time of year, especially as April progresses and the seasons start to transition from the North East to the South West monsoon.
