Dry season on the coast with cooler temperatures and cloudy skies.

It rains all year round in the Amazon Oriente, but rain showers are harder from late December through April. Good news is that river cruises offer diverse itineraries depending on water level, so there is always something exciting to do!

Quito and the highlands feature more stable temperatures although it can get a bit cooler during the dry season (June through September). Temperatures will be determined by altitude.

From June to September Galapagos Islands are drier but chillier and because of rough winds divers may have poor visibility.
