Day 1: Fly UK to Lima

Day: 2 Lima - Cusco - Sacred Valley

Transfer to the airport for the short flight to Cusco.

On arrival in Cusco you will be met and transferred to the Sacred Valley which is a better location for acclimatisation due to its lower altitude.

On the way explore the fascinating but unusual Pisaq market situated in the Sacred Valley.

Originally a place where people from remote communities used to barter their products, Pisaq has evolved to one of South America's most famous souvenir markets.

Make sure to sample some 'empanadas' baked in traditional clay ovens.

Day 3: The Sacred Valley

Today enjoy a spectacular adventure to the Skylodge, suspended 400m above the Sacred Valley.

You will be picked up in the morning from your hotel to head to Pachar in the Sacred Valley and arrive there at 10:45 AM.

After a safety brief and equipment check you start your climb up the face of the cliff on a steel ladder called ‘Via Ferrata’ (about 1 hour). The Via Ferrata is restricted to children aged 9 and above.

This activity allows those who are in reasonable physical shape to ascend safely while still enjoying fantastic views of the valley.

Short after midday reach the Skylodge where a 3-course lunch and drinks await for you in these transparent capsules perched on the side of a mountain.

Re-energized and with enough snapshots of the Sacred Valley from this unbeatable location you start your descent via zip lining at 1:30.

Two hours later you will reach Pachar to be driven back to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

After lunch, head to the historic fortress, Ollantaytambo, that gave name to the town.

There, the Temple of the Sun (formed of six gigantic monoliths, whose total weight exceeds 50 tons) and the Terrace of the Ten Niches stand out.
