Is this a Private Tour or a Group Tour?

All of our USA tours are private, tailor-made itineraries, designed around your preferences. We can adjust every element to suit your interests, pace, and travel style. This particular USA trip includes flights, accommodation, and car rental (where applicable).

What are the Departure Dates?

Since this is a private trip, there are no set departure dates. Let us know your preferred dates of travel, and we will find the best flights to fit your itinerary. We can advise on the best times to visit each region of the USA, as well as periods to avoid due to peak tourist seasons, inclement weather, or when travel would simply be better timed for your itinerary.

Which Airlines do you use?

We work with all major airlines flying to the USA. Depending on your departure city, we typically suggest carriers such as Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, and Delta. If you have a preferred airline or route, just let us know. We can also organise flights from any regional UK airport. There are direct flights from the UK to many US hubs including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and San Francisco.

Which Hotels do you use?

We carefully select hotels based on location, style, and quality, but we are guided by your preferences. We specialise in boutique hotels, charming historic properties, and smaller luxury hotels where available. In major cities like New York, Chicago, or San Francisco, hotel rooms can sometimes be smaller and more expensive, and many properties lean towards a more business-style design. If room size or character is important to you, please let us know and we can suggest alternatives.

We also consider proximity to attractions and transport links, as driving or using public transport in large cities can add travel time.

Please note that many US hotels charge resort or facility fees (covering amenities such as Wi-Fi, fitness centres, or pools). We try to include these in our pricing wherever possible, but as policies vary by hotel, we recommend checking with us for details at the time of booking.

Car Rental & Driving in the USA

Many of our itineraries include car rental to explore regions at your own pace. Rental cars give you freedom, but there are a few practical points to note:

  • One-way fees: Some itineraries involve picking up a car in one city and dropping it off in another. One-way fees can apply, depending on the rental company and locations. We will try to include these where possible.

  • Parking: City hotels may charge for parking, and rates can vary. We will guide you on likely costs.

  • Insurance & Navigation: We can advise on the best insurance coverage and suggest GPS or app-based navigation for ease of travel.

  • Driver Requirements: A valid driver’s licence is required. For most rentals, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is recommended, particularly if you plan to drive across multiple states.

Ask us for more details so you can plan your trip with confidence.

Isn’t the USA expensive now?

Well, it depends on where you go! The USA offers incredible variety, from budget-friendly options to luxury experiences. We plan your trip to balance value and comfort, helping you get the most out of your accommodation, transport, and excursions. Many of our itineraries include car rental, which gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace and discover hidden gems off the beaten path.

There’s plenty to see and do without spending much, from scenic drives and hiking trails to charming small towns and local markets. Entrance fees to national parks, museums, or attractions are generally reasonable but vary by location. Private guided trips can be more expensive, but there are also plenty of small-group options available, which allow you to enjoy expert guidance while keeping costs manageable.

We can mix and match this to suit your itinerary. Dining in the USA can suit every budget — from food trucks and diners to world-class fine dining.

What’s the best pass for visiting multiple U.S. National Parks?

If you plan to visit three or more parks on your trip, the America the Beautiful Annual Pass is usually the best value. It provides access to over 2,000 federal recreation sites, including all 63 U.S. national parks. The pass is available to international visitors and can be purchased easily at the entrance station of the first park you visit. It covers entrance fees for the pass holder and all passengers in a private vehicle, or the pass holder plus up to three adults if entering on foot, by motorcycle, or bicycle.

Do note that some of the most popular national parks now require advance reservations in peak season or weekends to manage visitor numbers – ask us for more details.

What’s Included in the Price?

Your quotation will clearly show what’s included — such as flights, accommodation, car hire, and any pre-booked experiences. Local taxes, resort fees, and gratuities are often not included and vary by state or hotel. We’ll outline these clearly so there are no surprises. A deposit is usually required to confirm your booking, with the balance due closer to departure. We’ll provide full payment details when you receive your quotation.

How much Luggage can I take?

Airline baggage allowances vary, especially on domestic USA flights. We’ll make sure your internal flights match your international ticket where possible, or highlight any restrictions in advance.

Do I need a Visa or Travel Authorisation?

UK citizens can usually travel to the USA under the Visa Waiver Program (ESTA) for trips up to 90 days. You must apply online before travelling and receive approval prior to departure. If you are not a UK passport holder or plan to stay longer than 90 days, please let us know, as you may require a different Visa or Travel Authorisation.

Will my Mobile Phone work in the USA?

Most UK mobile networks offer USA roaming, but charges can vary. Alternatively, you can purchase a local eSIM or SIM card for better data rates. We can advise on the best options before you travel.

How do I manage Jet Lag and Time Zones?

The USA spans several time zones, so travel times can vary. We design our itineraries to allow rest time after arrival and avoid overly long driving days. Our team will also share practical tips for managing jet lag and staying refreshed.

Do you offer Eco-Friendly Travel Options?

Yes — we can recommend electric or hybrid car hire, eco-lodges, and experiences that support local communities and conservation efforts. If sustainability is important to you, we’ll tailor your itinerary accordingly.

Can you arrange Tours and Activities?

Absolutely. We can pre-book a variety of activities, from city tours and food experiences to guided hikes, national park passes, and scenic train journeys. Many experiences can also be added once you're in the USA.

Do I need Travel Insurance?

Comprehensive travel insurance is essential when visiting the USA, as healthcare costs can be high. We strongly recommend a policy that covers medical treatment, cancellations, and car rental coverage.

Do you cater for Solo Travellers & Families?

Yes! The USA is very welcoming to solo travellers, and as an English-speaking country, it’s easy to get around. Major cities are simple to navigate, and beyond the cities, national parks, scenic drives, ranch stays, and small-group tours offer safe and rewarding ways to explore.

The USA is also perfect for families, offering a huge variety of experiences to suit all ages. We can tailor itineraries to your interests — whether that’s Disney, wildlife adventures, cultural experiences, American sports, or history. From bustling cities to scenic national parks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy together.

How does the Booking Process work?

Once we’ve discussed your preferences, we’ll design a custom itinerary for your review. After approval, we’ll confirm all arrangements and send detailed travel documents before departure. We also provide 24-hour local assistance throughout your trip, along with contact details for our US partners should you need help while travelling.

How long have you been organising holidays to the USA?

We’ve been creating tailor-made USA holidays for close to 10 years. Our team has extensive experience in the travel industry, organising trips to the USA and beyond, ensuring every journey is seamless, flexible, and memorable.

Why Travel with Jasmine Holidays?

We pride ourselves on personal service, expert knowledge, and attention to detail. Every USA itinerary is crafted by a specialist who’s experienced the destination first-hand. We’re also ATOL-protected, giving you full financial peace of mind when booking your trip.

Seattle

Dubbed 'The Emerald City' due to its abundance of lush, evergreen trees and its spectacular views of the snow-capped Cascade and Olympic mountains, Seattle is a laid-back, friendly city which is set apart by is its remarkably beautiful natural setting and its progressive, multicultural inhabitants.

The city is perhaps best known for its seafood, its incredibly wet weather and its famously obsessive coffee culture as well as the staggering diversity of its neighbourhoods: Grand stately manicured suburbs; hip and trendy urban areas; pockets of eclectic, artsy boutiques and cafes; and rows of glistening state-of-art skyscrapers - Seattle has it all.

With nature on its doorstep, it’s hardly surprising that an outdoor lifestyle prevails, with plenty of boating, skiing, and hiking facilities on offer as well as a vast array of fascinating museums, galleries and cultural sights.

No matter when you’re travelling to Seattle, there are more than enough attractions to hold your interest, come rain or shine!

Olympic National Park

Tucked away in the far northwest corner of Washington State, Olympic National Park is a vast wonderland of staggering diversity, where rugged coastline, lush temperate rainforest, and glacier-capped peaks all collide in one breathtaking place.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the park enchants visitors with its dramatic contrasts: stroll along driftwood-strewn beaches pounded by Pacific waves, wander beneath moss-draped trees in the mystical Hoh Rain Forest, and hike into the high country for sweeping alpine vistas of the Olympic Mountains.

Wildlife abounds too — from Roosevelt elk and bald eagles to pods of whales that cruise offshore. Whether you’re chasing waterfalls, tide-pooling along rocky shores, or camping under skies bursting with stars, Olympic National Park delivers a dose of wild beauty you won’t soon forget.

Portland

Resting in the shadow of the towering Mount Hood, at the confluence of the Columbia and Willamette rivers, Portland is Oregon’s largest city and the second largest city in the Pacific Northwest.

Despite its impressive size, the city has a charming small town atmosphere with an abundance of natural beauty and some wonderfully eccentric and laidback locals.

While outdoor enthusiasts explore the many parks and bicycle trails, those seeking more sedate activities will find countless coffee houses, microbreweries, artisanal eateries and museums.

Must-see attractions include the iconic Washington Park, the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, offering panoramic viewpoints, extensive hiking trails and spectacular waterfalls; and the Oregon Museum of Science, featuring a planetarium, a four-story theatre and a US Navy submarine.

Oregon Coast

Stretching for over 360 miles, the Oregon Coast is an intoxicating mix of windswept beaches, charming towns, and dramatic headlands where the Pacific crashes endlessly against rugged cliffs.

No spot embodies this better than Cannon Beach, where the iconic Haystack Rock rises majestically from the sand, flanked by tidepools brimming with sea stars and an irresistible lineup of boutique shops and seafood eateries. Just up the road, Ecola State Park tempts with forested trails and cliffside viewpoints that showcase some of the coast’s most photogenic scenery.

Further south, the town of Florence is your gateway to a playground of coastal dunes, hidden sea caves, and wild stretches of sand begging to be explored. From windswept lighthouse lookouts to cosy fishing villages, the Oregon Coast is equal parts adventure and serenity — best experienced slowly, with plenty of stops for clam chowder and saltwater taffy.

Crater Lake National Park

Set in the Cascade Mountains of southern Oregon, Crater Lake National Park is home to one of the most dazzling natural wonders in the United States: a deep, sapphire-blue lake filling the collapsed caldera of an ancient volcano.

Renowned as the deepest lake in the country, Crater Lake is jaw-droppingly beautiful, with its brilliantly clear waters reflecting sheer cliffs and snow-dusted peaks. Highlights include boat tours out to Wizard Island, scenic drives along Rim Drive with endless viewpoints, and countless hiking trails that lead to panoramic vistas sure to leave you speechless.

Blanketed in snow much of the year, the park is equally magical in winter, when cross-country skiing and snowshoeing adventures offer a quieter, more intimate encounter with this surreal landscape. Crater Lake is nature’s masterpiece — a shimmering jewel carved from fire and time.

Redwood National Park

Home to the tallest trees on Earth, Redwood National and State Parks in northern California is a place where nature towers — literally — above everything else.

Step into ancient groves where thousand-year-old giants stretch skyward, their canopies disappearing into the mist, while ferns and wildflowers carpet the forest floor below. These primeval forests, once nearly lost to logging, are now protected havens offering a sense of wonder that borders on the spiritual.

Beyond the redwoods, the park boasts wild rivers, prairies bursting with elk, and a rugged coastline dotted with hidden coves and crashing surf. Whether you’re gazing up in awe from the forest floor or driving the famous Avenue of the Giants nearby, Redwood National Park promises moments of pure, humbling magic.

Mendocino

Perched on a bluff above the Pacific Ocean, the coastal village of Mendocino is the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, breathe deep, and never leave.

Known for its dramatic headlands, wildflower-strewn bluffs, and cliffside trails, Mendocino combines rugged natural beauty with a creative, free-spirited soul. Its historic downtown is filled with Victorian-era buildings housing art galleries, boutique shops, and cosy cafés, while the surrounding countryside offers redwood forests, vineyards, and hidden beaches waiting to be discovered.

With its salty sea air, crashing surf, and a soundtrack of gulls overhead, Mendocino feels both timeless and slightly otherworldly. Whether you’re here to hike along windswept trails, explore tidepools, or sip wine by the fire in a quaint inn, Mendocino is California coastal charm at its most enchanting.

Napa Valley

With over 400 excellent wineries dotted around this 50-kilometre-long stretch of land, Napa Valley is the ultimate destination for food and wine enthusiasts. Its top-rated chefs serve mind-blowing cuisine, its luxurious guest houses are welcoming and characterful and its scenery is truly breathtaking.

Aside from winery hopping, the area offers a wealth of activities. Spend your days: exploring the beautiful hiking trails of the American Canyon Wetlands; enjoying gastronomic delights with an ever-changing view on the Napa Valley Wine Train; browsing the glamorous clothing boutiques, jewellery stores, and art galleries at St. Helena; or simply unwinding in the mineral pools and mud baths of the exclusive spas in Calistoga.

However you choose to spend your time, you are bound to find endless opportunities for glorious self-indulgence in the wine country paradise of Napa Valley.

San Francisco

Leave your inhibitions behind, grab your walking shoes and your most outrageous outfit in preparation for the wild (and typically steep) ride that is the foggy and fabulous city of San Francisco.

It is crawling with outlandish locals, wacky street performers and eccentric artists who somehow manage to delight and charm their way into the hearts of even the most conservative travellers.

Your trip is likely to include some cardio-building jaunts up some dramatically steep inclines to hilltop viewpoints offering magnificent views of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Prison and Coit Tower.

With its dizzying array of restaurants and farmers markets, rows of rainbow-coloured Victorian houses, as well as countless vintage saloons and speakeasies, there really is never a dull moment in this rollicking city by the bay.
