In Search of Primates - Rwanda Holiday

This week long private tour of Rwanda is ideal for those with a love of primates. Of course you'll have Mountain Gorilla Trekking included but also Chimp tracking in Nyungwe and Golden Monkey trekking in the Volcanoes National Park.

Rwanda is also one of the most developed countries in Africa, with frequent comparisons to Singapore, due to the rapid advances made in the last 25 years. Your wildlife adventure will be bookended with nights in the capital Kigali.

First off head west to Lake Kivu which will be your base for 2 nights for visits to Nyungwe Forest where you will go chimp trekking in this beautiful region of Rwanda.

You'll take a boat trip on Lake Kivu and a nature walk on an island before moving north to the Volcanoes National Park.

Only 90 or so people a day are permitted to enter the National Park for gorilla trekking, so you'll be one of the very few to experience one of the world's greatest wildlife encounters, with the Mountain Gorillas.

You also have a Golden Monkey trek included in the National Park before heading back to Kigali for the final night of your Rwanda primate adventure.
