Flatdogs Camp is the closest safari camp to the Mfuwe main gate, which provides access to the South Luangwa National Park.

There is a variety of accommodation at Flatdogs. Six stone-built chalets are set in 3 buildings, with a design aimed at keeping things cool.

A Family Chalet offers 3 bedrooms in a separate building and Jackalberry Tree House is built around three African ebony trees with unspoilt views out across a lagoon regularly visited by elephant and giraffe.

On the banks of the Luangwa with the best views in camp, are six spacious luxury en-suite safari tents. A door leads into a shaded open-air bathroom with hot shower, flush toilet and basin.

One of the six riverfront tents is a family tent which has a double bed and two single beds, and one large en-suite bathroom, comfortably sleeping four people.

The seventh luxury tent is the honeymoon tent, facing the lovely lagoon where elephant come to mud-bathe and giraffe, bushbuck and puku enjoy a drink.
