Denis Private Island is a coral island and as such offers fine white sand, great snorkelling and an island interior that is a delight to stroll through.
Bird feeding and nature walks are all part of the joy of a stay on Denis Island.
Cottages are set amongst casuarina and coconut trees, offering privacy just steps from the beach. The indoor – outdoor bathrooms are beautiful.

What’s so Special?
Denis Private Island has a very strong emphasis on conservation – of both the land and the sea environments. Birdlife is prolific and watching the beautiful white fairy terns wheeling above the beach is a lovely sight. Oh and the giant turtles are gorgeous!
Cottages are sufficiently spread out that it seems as if you have your own little stretch of private beach.
Snorkelling and diving are popular on Denis Island. There is snorkelling off the beach in front of the restaurant and at Turtle Bay – with turtles! Belle Etoille, the beach by the airstrip is also a great snorkelling spot.
Bear in Mind
No phone reception, no Internet, no TV, no worries. OK, we lied – there is Internet available in reception, but don’t tell anyone (it’s pretty slow anyway!).
Doors have no outside locks and there’s no in-room safe which seems to be a bit of a niggle for some guests.
Rates are Full Board but the hotel does charge for in-room drinks and dining.
Deluxe Beach Cottages
Denis Private Island has 10 Deluxe Beach Cottages set amidst casuarinas and coconut trees, ensuring total privacy.
Each Deluxe Cottage (110 sq. m) has its own private sea-facing veranda and private courtyard with sun loungers and chairs overlooking a private beachfront.
Cottages are open-plan, and include sitting areas with sofa.
Bathrooms are a highlight - open-air with alfresco showers, twin-vanities and a gorgeous bathtub looking out on to the private walled garden.

The restaurant, with an already enviable reputation for some of the finest cuisine in the Seychelles, offers clients a sumptuous breakfast buffet of local fruits, freshly squeezed juices, farm eggs, fresh croissants and Danish pastries.
Much of the produce is grown on Denis Island’s own farm.
