Kenya Overview

Kenya lies on the equator and enjoys great weather conditions all year round, warm days with plenty of sunshine and cool nights and mornings.

Kenya has a pleasant tropical climate and most parts of the territory share the same climatic conditions, however, there are large regional climatic variations due to Kenya's differing topographical dimensions.

Kenya’s daytime temperatures average between 20°C and 28°C. Night temperatures between July and August can drop down to 10°C. The coast is warmer, hot and humid all year round.

Rainfall is seasonal through the country. The Long Rains from March to May is Kenya's low season, The Short Rains between November and December can be considered shoulder season.

The high season for Kenya holidays is between July and October and again in January and February. During this time of year things are generally hot and dry with ideal conditions for wildlife watching as well as relaxing by the beach.
