Meet the Locals

Meet the Locals

M/V Desafio is a great 34-metre three-masted sailing ship, providing the highest standard service available in exploring the Amazon.

M/V Desafio offers privacy, comfort and the unique intimacy of sharing the experience of a lifetime with a handful of new-found friends.

The cruise offers 12 cabins divided into 6 upper deck (external) and 6 lower deck (internal) all of them with private facilities.

M/V Desafio departs from Manaus, capital of the State of Amazonas, a city in the jungle that prospered during the rubber boom last century.

The cruise also includes daily explorations and activities in safe motorized boats into the jungle, as well as a rich Amazonian cuisine served in the panoramic restaurant.

M/V Desafio offers the comfort of a pre-arranged group program and the joy of personal discovery. Small enough for everyone to be on a first-name basis; our passengers feel at home in the heart of the Amazon.

M/V Desafio' specialized hosts are glad to tell the travellers every single detail of the wild life, the flora, the flooding and the torrential rainfalls from November to March as well as the low water level of the Amazon during the rest of the year.
