Msambwene Beach House

Msambweni Beach House enjoys a quiet unspoilt setting on the beach, surrounded by 28 acres of natural land, to the south of Diani Beach.

The hotel is set on a 40 foot high cliff surrounded by a coral wall.

The house offers a long stretch of private beach along a tropical white sandy coastline with palm trees where guests can really feel at one with nature.

The hotel has just 3 luxury suites in the high-ceilinged main house, three private villas and an Ocean Suite.

All Suites have private verandahs and Swahili decor with fine finishes in chalk white.

Not far from the main house are three private villas, well appointed with their own swimming pools and Jacuzzi facing the sea.

Snorkelling, fishing, kite surfing, wind surfing and mountain biking are all available.

What's so Special?

Msambweni means the land of the sable Antelope.

There are excursions to the Kisite Marine Park which is one of the best spots in Africa for snorkelling, diving with sea turtles and swimming with dolphins.

Which Airlines do you use for your Kenya Holidays?

We work with all the major airlines flying to the Kenya.

Typically for Kenya we will use Kenya Airways or British Airways for direct flights.

There are currently daily flights from Heathrow to Nairobi, departing in the morning and arriving the same day late in the evening.

The Kenya Airways flights are also direct but offer an overnight option meaning you'll arrive in the morning in time to connect with a safari flight.

The flying time for direct flights is about 8.5 hours.

We also commonly use Emirates via Dubai, Qatar Airways via Doha and Etihad via Abu Dhabi. These all allow stopover options in the Arabian Gulf to create a multi-centre holiday.

Regional connections from across the UK are available.

What about Safari Flights in Kenya?

Safari flights in Kenya operate from Nairobi Wilson Airport.

We usually use Safari Airlink who are Kenya's premier safari flight operator, flying to most safari destinations as well as Zanzibar, using Dash 8 and Cessna Caravan aircraft.

The Cessna's are the workhorses of safari flights and have large windows and overhead wings, meaning better views on your flight.

Luggage should be kept to a minimum on safari flights.

For safari flights in Kenya, the limit is typically 15 kg per person. This should be in soft bags as opposed to hard suit cases in order to fit in the baggage compartment on small aircraft.

Do I need a visa for Kenya?

If you're travelling on British Passports, a visa is required for stays of up to a month.

These can be obtained on arrival but to avoid queuing at the airport on arrival it's better to organise these in advance.

Please always check visa requirements as they can change at any time.

When is the best time to visit Kenya?

January to March is usually hot and dry and great for wildlife viewing. Conditions can often be dry and dusty at this time of year and animals often congregate near water-holes, meaning excellent wildlife viewing.

April to May can be wet and muddy and this is the period of the 'long rains'. Many safari camps close during May when the long rains are at their height, as the tracks and roads get muddy and it may not be possible for the camp vehicles to take visitors on game drives.

June is usually green and lush after the rain. Many animals have their young at this time of year, to coincide with the better grazing from new grass following the rains.

July to August is cooler and good for the migration in the Masai Mara. July to September is when the great wildebeest migration moves into the Masai Mara. July to September is a busy time for safaris in Kenya.

September to October offers good weather and wildlife viewing in Kenya.

November and December sees the advent of the so-called 'short rains'.

Bear in mind that weather patterns vary and when rainfall in Kenya occurs, it often happens at night or early in the morning.

Ensure you bring some additional warm clothing for chilly early morning or evening game drives in Kenya.

Although Kenya is on the equator, you may be surprised at how cold it can get at night and in the early morning, especially in the higher locations!
