Palayana Hua hin (formerly the 'Yai Ya' Resort) is a charming luxurious boutique beach resort just 10 minutes drive north of the main centre of Hua Hin.
Palayana's hallmarks are the unique design, lush green landscapes and a collection of charming pool villas – adding up to a fantastic value boutique resort.
Palayana Hua Hin offers 23 spacious Terrace Rooms and 6 Suites in a main building and 11 freestanding pool villas.
Rooms and villas overlook the lush winding gardens with some Terrace Rooms offering sea views.
The design of Palayana Hua Hin is quite similar to Six Senses Resorts (they share the designer) so the overall ambience is one of casual, occasionally rustic chic.
We love the pool villas at Palayana Hua Hin – the design with the pool on a higher level means plenty of sun and a good degree of privacy with a shaded day bed overlooking the pool.
The pools themselves use very light blue tiling and are especially inviting, with frangipani petals all around.
The Deluxe Garden View Rooms (65 sq. m.) are set in a 3-storey building at the resort entrance facing the sea.
Rooms feature a large private balcony with daybed.
A fully equipped spacious dressing area with separate shower and toilet facilities forms part of the main entrance into the room.
The Rooms higher up (the Deluxe Sea View Rooms) offer a Sea View whilst the Panoramic Sea Suites offer a separate living area and more space (110 sq. m.).
There are two kinds of two-bedroom Suites; Garden View Two Bedroom Suites and Sea View Two Bedroom Family Suites.
The Palayana’s Seaview Sky Villa offer 110 sq. m of living area, situated on higher floors and come with a large living/dining room and a large Jacuzzi on the balcony overlooking the resort’s lush green landscape.
There is one large double bed (Hollywood King), a cushioned Rocking Chair and a sofa.
The living room also has one study desk. The extra spacious balcony sports a large day-bed with Lounge Chair and is provided with all around Roller Blinds to set the day lighting to your choice.
The Suite rooms also feature a Bathtub with separate shower and toilet rooms and a fully equipped dressing area forms part of the main entrance into the room.
The open-air ‘Basil Restaurant’, offers Thai food, Seafood, Tapas, Pizza, Pasta and more! The wood-fired pizzas are a popular choice.
Brisa is a cool shaded oasis in the sand serving refreshing drinks during the day.
Thaipas is a bar with a lounge perched on top, over the pool, where the waning light of dusk can be enjoyed.
