Summerwood Guesthouse

Summerwood is situated in the beautiful university town of Stellenbosch and is nestled between mountains and rivers and is the perfect base from which to explore the Cape Winelands, Cape Town and spectacular surroundings.

This unique Mansion House was built in 1904 and has been restored to meet the demands of the modern traveller.

Summerwood is more like an Italian Villa, set in beautiful landscaped gardens with a large free form swimming pool.

Each of the 8 rooms is spacious and charmingly decorated, with en-suite bathrooms including showers and bathtubs.

There are 2 Ground floor rooms, 5 first floor rooms and a top floor room. Ground floor rooms have direct access onto the patio that leads down to the gardens and pool area.

What’s so Special?

Summerwood Guesthouse is a great value small guesthouse located on the outskirts of atmospheric Stellenbosch, which is rich in history and culture and is central to the cape Wine Region with many wine estates within an easy 15-minute drive from town.

There are many restaurant options in Stellenbosch town itself including Die Kombuis, which offers traditional South African cuisine.
