Just 45 minutes from Singapore by high speed catamaran, the Indonesian island of Bintan offers the most easily accessible beaches from Singapore. The ferry terminal is right next to Singapore airport and there are about 5 ferries per day in each direction (more at weekends). The beaches are pretty good and there are plenty of facilities at the resorts including spas, golf and Water Sports. We highly recommend the Banyan Tree on Bintan Island for its luxurious accommodation and excellent Spa.
