A tour of Malaysia can be done in numerous ways but we find a popular option is to mix some guided excursions with plenty of free time to discover Malaysia at leisure. A typical Malaysia tour may include some time in Kuala Lumpur and a night or two in nearby historic Malacca, followed by the short but scenic drive up to the Cameron Highlands. After 2 or 3 nights in the Highlands, drive up to Malaysia’s second city, Penang which has heritage in abundance, before ending the trip with an island stay on Langkawi which has some of Malaysia’s best beaches and some of the world’s oldest rainforest.
