The Gili Isles consist of numerous small islands off the coast of Lombok, accessible by fast ferry direct from Lombok (15 minutes) or from Bali (90 minutes). The most popular and largest of the Gili Isles, Gili Trawangan is famous for its long stretch of beach with great snorkelling. There are no cars on the Gili Islands, just bicycles and horse drawn carriages. The sunset views over Bali are truly spectacular. There are a couple of great boutique hotels in the Gili Isles and we highly recommend Kokomo, which is a great option for couples and honeymooners.
